Virginia Uvone (Cox) Conway was born on January 16, 1942, in West Moreland County Virginia to Emmett and Rosie (Braxton) Cox. She was the youngest of (7) seven children and told many stories of growing up in Virginia and spending quality time with her family. In 1958, she married James Harold Sumiel (preceded in death), and from that union (4) four children were born. She later divorced and moved to Philadelphia, PA. In 1964, she met Robert Nathaniel Conway, Sr. and from that union two children were born. After Robert's death in 1979, she was left to raise her children on her own. Virginia enjoyed listening to music, preparing big family dinners for holidays and other celebrations. She especially loved when the family would get together to celebrate her birthday; she often referred to it as a national holiday. She had a kind heart and was always willing to help friends or family in need. She taught her children to give from the heart without expecting anything in return.

Throughout the years, Virginia continued to raise her family by doing, domestic work, and being the sole provider for her children. She spoke of of her calling to find a church home and to serve God. In 1989, God led her to Agape Christian Chapel, and she knew in her heart she had found her church home. Virginia's church family and pastor were very near and dear to her heart. She was a dedicated member and served on both the Usher and the Deaconess Board. She was also one of the first graduates of Pastor, Melvin Floyd, School of Evangelism. As a loving mother, Virginia encouraged her children to seek a relationship with God. She was a dedicated, Wife, Mother, and Friend and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
