We are here today to celebrate the life of Richard John Perry, II, also known as Shaheed Faheem. He was born during a snowstorm on February 20, 1969, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Richard was educated in the Philadelphia School system and later received his GED diploma. He had a huge personality and has had many different jobs. One of his jobs was driving for Para Transit. He always had a great sense of direction.
From the time he was a small child, Richard was full of energy and could not sit still. He loved people and made friends wherever he went. His personality and charm were irresistible. Richard met Maeva Fairy and from this union was born his one precious daughter, Desiree. Richard had a deep love for his family and cherished the time they spent together. He especially enjoyed family dinners. He loved his mother's cooking and his auntie's deep-dish apple pie.
Richard is preceded in death by his father, Richard: his sister, Jamie; his brother Riley Freeman III; his grandmothers Irene and Eleanor; his grandfathers, Percy Perry and James Harvin.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Latifah (Tina); his stepfather, Riley Freeman Jr.; his daughter, Desiree; his brothers, Bryan Perry and James Freeman; Four adorable, energetic grandchildren: Muhammed, Yaqub, Ibrahim Sanari Morrison; his favorite Aunt Victoria, his Uncle Perry, his Aunt Janice and Uncle Seymour; his cousin, Vickie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
